Timber Lake city projects nearly ready for bids

  • The Timber Lake City Restricted Use Site has more space for dumping solid waste after a major project was recently completed. Miller Construction of Isabel dug a trench, where accumulated rubble — mostly building materials — was buried and covered. The $14,000 project should give the city ample space for collecting material for several years. The improvement was recommended by the S.D. Dept. of Ag and Natural Resourcs in several recent inspections.

The Timber Lake City Board, at its January 8 meeting, got an update on the water and sewer projects, approved a 4% raise for employees, and voted to advertise for bids for garbage collection.
