It is the 10th anniversary (Oct. 3, 2013) of the Cattleman’s Blizzard, formerly known as Winter Storm Atlas. Most people can scarcely remember that storm, which came out of nowhere and killed a hundred thousand animals.
At the start of the storm, my daughter and I looked out the window through the blizzard, and she asked me, with tearfilled eyes “Dad, where will the baby cows go?”
